Summer Reading Program 2010 | June 19 through August 8

This year's Summer Reading Program theme is Make a Splash. Read! Kids, teens, and adults can participate by registering at the library between June 19 and August 8. For every book you read during the summer, you will be entered into a raffle drawing. A winner will be drawn from each age group at the end of summer Splash Party on Sudnay, August 8. Prizes for kids include Barnes and Noble gift cards and books. Prizes for teens (6th grade and above) include fun beach gear. And for the adults, winners will receive a Mary Kay spa package or an indoor water fountain.

We hope to see you Make a Splash at the Library and READ!!!

Join us in celebrating the Diary of a Wimpie Kid’s Dog Days of Summer by bringing your dog to the library! We’ll take a picture of you reading to your dog and display it at the library.

Enjoy world music and indigenous art with Digeridoo Down Under. All ages welcome. This program is sponsored by Community Arts Partnership.

Learn to Make Balloon Animals

Yonah Lempert, a balloonimalogist for more than 15 years, will teach participants how to make a dog, mouse, moose, and a snail.

Environmental Art Collaboration

Learn from the world class ceramic artist Eric Serritella. The group will collaboratively sculpt a realistic tree from clay with a little help from Eric.
